Gallery: 2009 visit - Nkiloriti Nursery

Go back to the Photo Gallery index >

We visited the nearby Nkiloriti Nursery school to assess their needs and also view a model kitchen building that will be used as an example for the planned kitchen building at Sherston Musul school.

Children here struggle with very basic facilities. Some of these children may end up at Sherston Musul to further their education, others may not continue education.

Many of the children show signs of malnutrition and stunted growth. Eye disease is common, especially with the lack of water.

The headteacher is shown with his 11 children on the thumbnail below. All teachers here are volunteer but get a small stipend from Gill Elias as well as support from another school in the UK in Preston.
