Mr Liddle visited a small pre-school/primary school thats based in an isolated valley some 10km away from Sherston Musul. Mr & Mrs Liddle visited this school last year. Its staffed by parents of the children.

When we visited this school last year most of the children had no shoes and were clothed in rags. Nearly every child showed signs of malnutrition and most were much shorter than they should be because of this.

The school has just had a small kitchen and food store built by Preston Primary School supported by their headteacher Penny Day. We were so impressed we based the Sherston Musul kitchen and foodstore on the same design (we used the same builder!).

On this visit we were pleased to see that our friends in Kenya have managed to get funding to build a proper classroom that had been completed only weeks ago.

We have donated a solar radio so they can listen to education radio programmes and also a number of footballs, bats and balls, rubber balls, dolls and teaching resources to help the school, parents and children.

We will be posting a number of photos on this little school in the coming weeks.
